Step #2 Hire a Buyer's Agent

There are two sides to every real estate transaction. There is the seller's side...and of course, there is the buyer's side.

The seller is most often times represented by a Seller's Agent. This agent has a fiduciary responsibility to negotiate the best possible price and terms for the seller.

Concurrently, the buyer has the right to hire his/her own Buyer's Agent. This agent has a fiduciary responsibility to work in the best interest of the buyer throughout the process and to negotiate the best possible price and terms for the buyer. Just as is the case with a seller and his/her agent, information shared by the buyer with the buyer's agent is to be kept confidential unless it is expressly indicated that specific information be shared. It is in the buyer's best interest to find his/her own agent prior to looking for a home. He/she will dedicate their time and effort to ensuring the buyer walks away from the closing table, feeling enlightened and empowered, knowing that their agent worked hard and got them a good deal.
